Pharmacy Direct is a premier Courier Service Pharmacy that has been in operation for the past ten years and since its inception proven to be a major and leading role player in the dispensing and delivery of chronic medication.

From January 2004 Pharmacy Direct has been appointed as the Designated Service Provider (DSP) for a number of Medical Schemes. Under this appointment we supply chronic medication to patients under the Prescribed Minimum Benefit (PMB) regulations.In addition we also provide medication under the normal chronic benefit designed by Schemes. Pharmacy Direct is also currently the biggest provider in the private market of Anti-retroviral Therapy to patients living with HIV/Aids.

Pharmacy Direct also provides medication that is not approved as chronic medication and that is considered to be acute medication and which is used by a patient over a longer period. Patients will receive their acute medication together with their chronic medication on a monthly basis.

Pharmacy Direct currently delivers medication to 42 000 patients nationally.

Our current clients include Bonitas, Liberty, Polmed, Topmed, Medshield, Medihelp, Discovery Health, Commed, Pro Sano and private members. In addition, Pharmacy Direct also provides services to some U.S. Aid programs.                                                                                                                                      

We do however service most Medical Schemes.
