Learnership Program

Pharmacy Direct identified the need to train pharmacist assistants to meet the ever greater demand for qualified staff members to provide high quality service to the increasing patient numbers.

A learnership program was introduced in 2005 where Pharmacy Direct would offer suitable candidates the opportunity of a tertiary education through one of the most respected training colleges in South Africa. Trainees are studying part time and earn salaries whilst studying.

To date, 7 pharmacist assistants qualified successfully and 21 are currently in training.
